Holiday Closure of Seattle City Offices
All City of Seattle offices will be closed on Monday, September 6 for the Labor Day holiday. All garbage, recycling and yard waste services will be on a normal schedule.

Closure of All Seattle Public Libraries from August 30 to September 6
All 27 locations of The Seattle Public Library will shut down from Monday Aug. 30 to Sunday, Sept. 5 due to citywide budget cuts, as well as on Monday, Sept. 6 for the Labor Day holiday. Regular Library operations will resume Tuesday, Sept. 7. The Library’s downloadable e-books, audiobooks, music and movies will be available during the closure. Databases and podcasts also will be accessible.

Bumbershoot
Seattle’s Music & Arts Festival is now in its 40th year. Since 1971, Bumbershoot has drawn artists representing the best in music, film, comedy, spoken word, dance, theatre, performance, and visual arts to the Seattle Center over Labor Day weekend.

Seattle Blues for Food Fest
Blues for Food Fest is an all-ages event featuring live music by some of the finest blues bands in the Northwest, great organic food from local vendors, on September 4 at Magnuson Park Sandpoint.
